Hawaii Condominium Sales and Information

OVERVIEW: Kailua - this is your characteristic beach town located on the Windward side of Oahu. Kailua is close to town but still retains its old-world Hawaiiana charm. This is where you find a small town life-style with local pride. You can still find one-of-its kind local eateries, mom and pop bakeries and shops in this friendly neighborhood. Many people choose to live in Kailua and work and send their children to schools in Honolulu. The 4th of July and Christmas parades are some of the wonderful tradition of Kailua.

In the Hawaiian language Kailua means "two seas" a contraction of the words kai (meaning sea) and 'elua (meaning two); it is so named because of the peninsula that divides Kailua Bay. There are no resorts in Kailua but there are vacation rentals and Bed and Breakfast establishments in this community. This is a place to live if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet it is only 20 - 30 minutes from downtown Honolulu via the Pali Highway. The best place to get a panoramic view of Kailua is from the Nuuanu Pali Lookout.
